February is over already? That went by quickly. Hello and welcome to your March addition of GUIDED THEATRE, the hub for all thing’s theatre, including news, the hottest shows and where to get your tickets.
It’s time to set those clocks forward and enjoy an extra hour of light. March also means we are one month closer to summer (woohoo). SO, what do we have to look forward to this month:
City of Angels
Originally premiering at the Donmar Warehouse in 2014, City of Angels was a huge success! Selling out every night, it was a wonder it didn’t transfer to the Westend, well now FINALLY it has! Described as ‘a musical love letter to the glamorous world of old Hollywood and film noir,’ this show is part black and white and part colour, leaving you asking yourself: what’s real…and what’s reel…
If the show was not already exciting enough, the cast is unbelievable – Hadley Fraser, Theo James, Rosalie Craig, Rebecca Trehearn, Jonathan Slinger with Nicola Roberts and Vanessa Williams!!! (Gasp).
The show will be playing at the Garrick Theatre from 5th March 2020 – 5th September 2020 so don’t miss out.

Blithe Spirit (starring Jennifer Saunders) – opening 5th March at The Duke of York’s Theatre
Showstopper! The Improvised Musical – performing for one night only at Lyric Hammersmith on 16th march
La Cage au Folles (The Play) – playing at the Park Theatre until 21st March

Theatre news:
Following on from a hugely success run at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2019, a run at the Bush Theatre early 2020, ‘Baby Reindeer,’ will be coming to the Ambassador’s Theatre on 2nd April. The play is written and performed by award winning Comedian Richard Gadd and produced by Sonia Friedman Productions so it’s set to be a hit.
‘The Shark is Broken…’ That’s right, that is the name of a brand new play that is also coming to the Ambassadors Theatre on 11th May 2020. What comes to mind when you hear this title…da na, da na, da na. You’re right! This play is about the making the 1975 Steven Spielberg Classic, JAWS.
Sonia must have an eye for an Edinburgh Fringe sell-out shows as this too will be produced by Sonia Freidman Productions.
